We came for about ten days because road closures made it hard to know how long we'd stay, but we ended up loving the motel and would definitely return. Robin welcomed us warmly and made us feel at ease right away. We asked to switch rooms for a better view, and she arranged it happily, without any trouble. The location is perfect, right across from the sea, with a nice pool and free covered parking. Thanks so much for everything. Greg and Ana

The Strand in Townsville suited my needs perfectly for a short stay recently. It's an older building, but clean and functional, just right if you're out exploring the area and mainly need somewhere to rest.

For the price, this is the best accommodation in Townsville. The motel is older, but the rooms feel clean and fresh, and it's right across from the water. There's a BBQ nearby, and you can eat at the table and chairs out front. Manager Robyn was friendly and very helpful. Free off-street parking, and shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

A short walk gets you to Coles, and the motel is close to everything in Townsville, which makes it handy for a couple of nights. The rooms have kitchenware for basic meals, though there was no shampoo among the bathroom amenities. I'd suggest adding it. The staff are lovely and go above and beyond, with a real thoughtfulness toward guests. It got a little noisy on Sunday night, probably because of how close it is to the esplanade. I'd recommend staying here.
