The Peak Penthouse 9

Apartment 9 was spacious and seriously luxurious, and my family couldn’t fault it. We especially liked the heated floors, king-sized bed, modern, well-equipped kitchen, spa bath and gas fireplace to come back to after skiing. The games room kept the girls busy for hours and gave the parents a chance to recharge. Everything was tastefully decorated, with an eye for detail. The huge windows and balcony gave us beautiful views, and the balcony had a built-in BBQ with a table and chairs. Buses ran by often, so getting to the snowfields was easy even with little ones. We’ll definitely book again next year.

The view was amazing and the apartment itself was beautiful, but the owner and service spoiled our stay. We were charged an entry fee for each night on arrival, which we didn’t mind paying, but it should have been mentioned on the website or in an email. Then the owner of apartment 7 had moved back in, and nobody told us by email, phone or in person that we’d be put in a smaller apartment. The next day there was a scheduled power outage from 9am to 3.30pm, again with no notice. One thing after another. We had to keep asking before we got an upgrade, and they promised to comp our first night because of all the hassle. We still haven’t received that payment. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments. The area is beautiful, but the service took away from the experience. If they’d offered a free upgrade and comped the first night when we arrived, instead of making us ask repeatedly, I wouldn’t have written this.
