The room was filthy, and I mean filthy. The sheets and appliances were dirty, and there were food scraps on the bar stools. The fit-out looked original to the 1970s and, from what I could see, hadn't been cleaned since. I was lucky to have a sleeping bag and slept in that. I only write reviews when something is exceptionally good or extremely bad, and this was the latter. It was a last-minute booking, too late to find somewhere else. The online photos look photoshopped, and I don't believe the positive reviews are real. I've never felt so disgusted by a motel stay.

The whole room smelled of dog, and the deodorizer they used to cover it only made the smell worse. There was mould on the shower, ceiling, and walls, and the crockery was dirty. We only stayed because we'd already paid upfront. Absolutely disgusting, and I'd tell people to avoid this motel at all costs.

The room was clean and the staff were really friendly, but the water pressure dropped when lots of other rooms were showering. The advertised pancake breakfast never appeared, which annoyed my kids, and the juice sat almost empty for two days. We wouldn't stay again.

The room wasn't serviced on one of the days we stayed. The bathroom was dated and mouldy, and the place needed a deep clean and general maintenance. There were holes in the curtain and the power point behind the bed was coming away from the wall.

The suite was clean and comfortable, and the motel is handy for shops, places to eat, and other amenities. Afraaz, the motel manager, and his family clearly care about the service they give guests and the Toowoomba community. It felt more like being welcomed into someone's home than just renting a room. Such a lovely stay, highly recommended.
