Coachman Motel

We had a spacious room with a double and single bed. The beds were a little uncomfortable, though that can depend on what suits each person. It was pretty quiet at night, the air conditioning cooled well, and the fan made a hot afternoon much nicer. The shower was hot with great pressure. The motel is very dated and needs renovating. We found medication in a drawer, which made us question the room’s overall cleanliness. There’s a smoking area outside that meant we couldn’t open the sliding door. The TV was okay but only had local channels. There was a lot of traffic getting to the motel, though turning off to reach it was easy. If we hadn’t found Viagra in the drawer, we probably would have given the room three stars.

Room 14, the family room, was really clean, with comfortable beds, a fluffy blue towel, and a shower with good pressure and lovely hot water. The young man at the front desk welcomed us with a smile, and we had a great chat with him. The cleaning lady was lovely to talk to as well. There’s laundry for washing, a nice barbecue area and a pool. We didn’t hear road noise at night, and there was plenty of tea, coffee, milk, plates, knives, forks, cups and glasses. Parking in the motel grounds was okay. The TV was very small, but fine, though they could put in a bigger one. It’s an old motel, but a good one. We’ll be back.

I really enjoyed staying here. The room was in very good condition, and the motel staff were lovely. They checked in to see if I was okay or needed anything, like towels. I’d recommend it to anyone 😁
