Kims Beach Hideaway

The privacy and peaceful surroundings are still a real draw, and the food is decent for the price. But after loving the place on my first visit about five years ago, I’ve changed my mind. This was our second stay, and this time our fur child came too. The location is a winner, but most of the rest felt mediocre. The half litre of water in a jug in the fridge seemed like a luxury at these room prices. A couple of bottles in the room would be a simple touch. The staff seemed flat, and we waited between drinks too. The place felt dead. It needs lively, customer minded people with a proper hospitality background, plus things like some music and more laughter. Please don’t look as though you’d rather not be there. Someone needs to help bring this gem back to life.

The location is hard to beat, and the staff were really friendly. We had a clean, spacious oceanfront room and enjoyed the breakfast. The resort has an old school, slightly dated feel, but in a nice way. We had a great stay and it lived up to its ratings.

The cabins were clean and comfortable, tucked among nature, and the food was excellent. The whole place felt peaceful, with a beautiful beachside setting that made it easy to unwind. The staff made the stay especially lovely. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and ready to help, and we felt well cared for throughout. We had an amazing time at Kim’s Beachside Retreat. It exceeded what we expected, and we’d happily recommend it for a relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be back.

We booked a table ahead, then went by earlier that afternoon to find the restaurant. We were told they wouldn’t be able to take a booking that evening because they were so busy, so we thought that was a good sign. But the place stayed empty the entire time. Bizarre experience. The room had no atmosphere and felt soulless. There was old fashioned pine everywhere, stained looking windows, and chairs that seemed like they belonged in a care home. We waited 15 minutes just for someone to ask about drinks, and the waiter seemed completely out of it. The food was okay, but nothing special, with no care in the presentation. We couldn’t wait to leave and would never return. Kim’s needs a major update to become what it should be.
