The apartments are spacious and nice, close to the beach and all kinds of shops, but they’re quite old and could use some TLC and a better clean. The manager is lovely, bubbly and friendly, and always stops for a chat when you pass.

The place wasn't terrible, but it didn't match the impression the online reviews gave us. The 4.5 stars may have been earned back in its heyday. Our room hadn't been cleaned with much care. There was playdough under the couch and chips and broken chocolate on one of the couches. I know the previous guests left those behind, but cleaning them up is what the cleaners are paid to do. The ceiling fan kept ticking until it was almost unbearable. The air conditioner also whined, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since it was installed.

Bayshore is right in the heart of Hervey Bay, across from the beach and close to the popular pubs and shops. The units feel like a home away from home, with a full kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms, and ours was very clean. The value was outstanding, too. The manager treated us so well and is the loveliest host. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're planning a trip to Hervey Bay.

After a day on the road, this was a great spot to wind down. The air conditioning worked well, the showers were great, and it was quiet. Just don't forget your tea bags 😒
