The location is great, an easy walk to the outlets, the beach and the Main Strip with its restaurants and bars. My friends and I were expecting less, but this hostel was so much better than we imagined. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. Sean, the owner, and the rest of the staff were amazing, friendly and so accommodating. And getting to cuddle their dogs Bella and Cindy every day was a bonus. We'll definitely be back.

The hostel has such a great vibe, with really nice people staying there, and if you're there a bit longer it starts to feel like a big share house. It's in a fantastic location, the service is great, and it's extremely clean, probably the cleanest hostel I've stayed in. Sean the owner and the lovely stuff work really hard. You can tell he cares about the guests and does everything he can to make sure they're having a good time. I'd highly recommend the place and would definitely come back. Thank You Alessia

It's a great hostel in a lovely setting, with tidy amenities that are all in good condition. The staff are super friendly, house dogs included! The town centre and beach are only a short stroll away. It's on the main road, so there's a bit of traffic noise, but it isn't unpleasantly loud.

We found Bells Beach Backpackers while searching for somewhere near Bells Beach to surf. We arrived earlier than expected, but the keys and a nice letter were already waiting in an envelope, so we could check in right away. Not long after, we met Sean, the owner, and his sweet dog Bella. They were both so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We'd booked three nights, then had to cut it to two because of a flight change. Sean happily refunded the extra night. We would've loved to stay that third night. Everywhere was spotless, the rooms were exceptionally clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The area was great, too, with an awesome coffee shop up the road, a brewery, cafes and outlet shopping for apparel. If you want a clean, relaxing and reliable place, go to Bells Beach Backpackers! Thanks again Sean & Bella. We'll definitely stay again when we come back to AUS! Cheers- Katie & Davis

The hostel was very clean and the people were nice, but it didn't have much of an atmosphere. Bella the dog was lovely, though. A lot of people seemed to stay here for a while to surf. There are a few beaches to choose from, with the closest 1.5km away. The town has everything you need, but not much going on. Some people also just use it as a quick stop while travelling along the great ocean road. There seems to be plenty of hospitality work in town during summer.
