Harmony at Tower Hill Apartment

We had a great stay and will most likely be back next year. The only thing I’d suggest is replacing the couches, they’re pretty sunken and uncomfortable. We stayed at harmony Hill in 2016 and they were the same ones then. I don’t mean to sound like a karen, just thought I’d mention it. We arrived on Boxing Day and left this morning.

The units are fully equipped, with a fridge, cooktop and microwave, plus a big bathroom and nice towels. The bed was soft and comfortable, and they’ve done a nice job with the floors, though the rooms are older. The couch had stains partly hidden under an old blanket. Our first impression in Unit 1 was rough. We checked in around 4:00 to find the west-facing bedroom windows letting in the afternoon sun, with the shades open, A/C off and ceiling fan off. We switched them on, closed the curtains and went to dinner, but at 7:00 the bathroom was still 40 Celsius and the bedroom only a little cooler. Freakin hot. Maybe management could close the shades and turn on the A/C and fan before someone checks in. Room 1 is next to the highway, so there was plenty of road noise. We came for Tower Hills wildlife park, which is very convenient, almost close enough to walk to. Nothing was wrong with the unit itself, but after that heat I’d have to think about staying again. I debated giving it 3 stars.

The fire pit was amazing, and the cabins were very clean and comfortable. It was quiet enough that we couldn't hear the neighbours enjoying themselves. The grass could be greener, though summer makes that hard. A great night away.

The accommodation is close to tower hill state game reserve park, with wonderful nature and animal life. During check-in the cabin was at 45 degrees, and I would have expected the room to be cooled. I also raised a cleanliness issue with the bed and BBQ area, and the owners dealt with it immediately.
