Retro Port Douglas Apartments

We stayed for more than two months and felt right at home. The terrace, professional barbecue, incredibly comfortable couch, and great mattress made it easy to settle in. Doug’s Apartments are the most stylish and thoughtfully equipped place in town, and the many little touches included organic products, sunscreen, Off-Spray, kitchen tools, and a fabulous coffee machine. Buy good coffee, like origin espresso, and it makes a really good cup. We've stayed in plenty of Port Douglas apartments, and these were by far the best. We'd definitely come back.

Doug was so lovely and easy to communicate with, and the Daintree chocolate and wine were a delicious welcome touch. We stayed three nights in the Retro Palms apartment, which looked just like the pictures and was decorated so nicely. It was spotless and had everything we needed, plus extras like the google mini and coffee machine. The complex is on a quiet street, close to central Port Douglas, and only a short walk or drive from four mile beach. Can't recommend it enough!

It felt like a home away from home, with a quiet room, comfortable furniture, and stylish decor. The convenient location and the cooking essentials and other amenities made the stay easy. Doug communicated promptly and was really helpful with tips and advice before we arrived. I'd highly recommend staying here in Port Douglas and will tell my family and friends. Thanks, Doug!

I especially liked the kitchen and the swinging chair on the small patio. The apartment was beautifully decorated, with new kitchen appliances, comfortable furniture, a nice TV, and an updated bathroom. Town is an easy 15-minute walk, with a grocery store, good restaurants, and pubs. Paddy's has amazing live music on Sunday afternoons! We appreciated having two sets of keys, plus the chocolate bar, bottle of wine, and recommendations for things to do.
