Greenleigh Central Canberra Motel

There’s a decent sized sign at the end of the dirt driveway, which helps you spot the motel on Coter Rd. It’s fairly central in Canberra, so getting around was easy. If nobody’s at the office when you arrive, call the number and someone will come help. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had plenty of space for a family of four, and it came with air-conditioning and a TV. The rates are very reasonable for an overnight stay.

For the price and distance from the city centre, this is a good bargain. It’s an old, simple motel, and our budget room had six single beds, fresh towels and amenities. The place is just old, so its appearance might strike some people as dirty. The staff member was straightforward rather than big hotel style, but I found her nice and easygoing.

Friendly staff, a good location and a decent sized room with useful basics included. At $135 a night for four people, it was fair value. There was a kettle, toaster and basic crockery and cutlery, but no microwave. The shower had strong pressure, though the toilet leaked at the base and the sink felt a little too small. Four of the six beds were usable for us; two had collapsed underneath. A drying rack or washing line would have helped with wet clothes.

Easy to find, with plenty of parking. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the shower was hot and simple to adjust. Ask about the air heater before booking or when you check in.
