Tuross Lakeside Tourist Park

It’s a poorly maintained, overpriced park in a great location, and it’s been going downhill for the past few years. The amenities were filthy. Dead bugs, discarded tissues and other rubbish sat on the shower stall windowsill for our entire two-week stay. The pool was dirty too, with piles of sand and dirt on the bottom. One of the kids we were with got a shard of metal in their foot there, which looked like it came from a metal bristle brush. The roads are full of potholes that turn into muddy puddles every time it rains, so you have to navigate them whenever you need the bathroom.

We absolutely loved staying here. The staff were the friendliest and most accommodating I’ve ever met, the amenities were clean, and there was plenty to keep our three boys busy. Couldn’t rate the park higher!

Cabins right by the water make this my favourite South Coast holiday spot. It’s just a hop and a skip from the cabin to the boat, then off for a fish.

We had a powered site right in front of the water, and the location was perfect. It was a bit tight getting in with a large caravan, but our group managed with three sites between our camper trailer and my in-laws’ caravan. We stayed a few nights and will definitely be back. The lake is only a few steps away for fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding or playing in the sand. There’s also a games room with a pool table and table tennis, plus a massive pool and a baby/kids pool. The only drawback was the lack of shade around the pools. Shade would help carers and parents keep an eye on little ones while they’re in the water.
