Tasman Holiday Parks - Hervey Bay

We stayed here in 2023 after booking through booking.com. Tasman sent a payment link, and we paid through it without realizing they had also charged us through booking.com. We’re still waiting for the 197 AUD we paid twice, 2.5 years later. Over time, we sent all the account information they asked for to show that we hadn’t received a refund. They haven’t replied since getting those details. We’ve asked them to send proof that the money was refunded to our credit card, but still have no answer. Tasman Holiday Parks, when will you return our money? We feel we were misled by the payment text and link, and they still have our money.

We had a lovely first visit to Hervey Bay with our family of five. The park was peaceful and beautiful, and much quieter than we expected. The staff were so friendly, and our little fur baby even got a small gift when we arrived. Thanks to Max and Andrea for making us feel welcome :)

The outdoor kitchen was a real highlight, with lots of seating, a Smart TV, an air fryer, pots, pans, cutlery and utensils. There were also two large industrial fridges if needed. Our dog-friendly cabin was clean and spacious. The bathroom looked much more outdated than the cabin, but it didn’t bother us. It was raining, so we didn’t use the pool. We had a late check-in, but my in-laws received a dog goodie bag when they checked in, which was lovely. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were lovely. Would recommend.

It was quiet and peaceful during our stay, and the park never felt overcrowded, so it was easy to relax. Everything was exceptionally clean, including the spotless camp kitchen, which had plenty of appliances and useful extras like dish soap, sponges, and kitchen towels. We found the value outstanding. A great pick for a clean, well-maintained and tranquil camping stay.
