We both really enjoyed our meals, and the coffee was nice too. The portions are huge, which helps balance out the slightly steep prices. We waited a little while for the food, but it was a busy weekend. Service was very friendly, and we got a table without booking. The facilities look modern, though the ambulant women's toilet door wouldn't close properly. There’s a large gaming area, but it’s well away from the dining area and we couldn’t hear it. Weekday seniors' meals and a kids' menu are available, and breakfast runs until 11am, handy if you're staying nearby. Parking can be tricky in summer when Victor is especially busy, but there’s a car park behind the pub and other parking around the streets. A nice place for a filling, good quality meal.

The bar staff were so welcoming, and we had a great conversation with Lil and Harry. They were helpful, accommodating, and genuinely lovely, especially knowing we’d travelled from interstate. The location was also ideal, right by the walkway to Granite Island. They made our time in Victoria Harbour memorable. Thanks, guys 👍

Christmas lunch was a real letdown. The buffet meat was wet and soggy with no flavour, and the vegetables and salads were unseasoned. Desserts were very basic, with no cream, ice cream, or custard. The cook stationed at the front of the buffet should have been carving the meat. We were confused about where to enter because there was no sign out front, and several other customers seemed just as unsure where to go. Once inside, there was no signage or customer service to guide us. The dining and bar area is fresh, bright, and attractive, but seeing it so quiet set off alarm bells. We’d also had a disappointing breakfast here last year, especially compared with the standards at nearby places. It’s a shame to see this in such a prime location. Whenever we pass, the place is mostly empty, and after this meal I can see why. It felt like a Gordon Ramsey kitchen nightmare. The management badly needs restructuring, and someone needs to bring some passion and care to the food. A basic menu can work, but this was very disappointing. Thanks from Tony and family.

Paula gave us great service, and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful too. Our group of 16 had lunch at Hotel Victor, with all the meals arriving together and cooked just right. The portions were generous, so it was good value. We had a delicious meal and will definitely return next time we're in Adelaide.

The hotel is very clean and nicely presented, with contemporary decor and a beautiful outlook over Granet Island. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pub-style food was good. There were a few specials, though nothing unusual. Lunch starts at $20 for the basic options, while menu dishes range from $26 to $60 for a prime rib. I think $60 for a pub steak is far too much. Free parking is limited and can be hard to find when it’s busy. Still, it was a great experience and I’d go back. Highly recommended.
