Coalmine Beach Holiday Park

Melody was so kind when we realised we'd left our duvets and pillows behind. She found warm bedding for us, and the whole family slept comfortably. We stayed at Coalmine Beach, Walpole from 30 December to 2 January 2026 on Site 44, and had a wonderful time. The grounds were peaceful, with plenty of room for families, and the bathrooms were very clean. The camp kitchen was well maintained too. The kids loved movie night, especially Zootopia. There’s a supermarket five minutes away, and a liquor store and bakery nearby with delicious pies and sausage rolls. We really appreciated the hospitality and would happily come back. We had a lovely couple of nights at Coalmine Beach, with a peaceful setting and lots of birdlife. The kitchens and bathrooms were well kept. Our only snag was the power box at our powered site: we couldn't open it, and by the time we figured that out, it was already our last night. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

There are great, tree-filled sites close to the beach, and the facilities are good. Getting around the grounds can be confusing, though. Drive anti-clockwise and you'll spot the exit sign. Some staff were really helpful, while others came across a bit blunt. The communal showers are cleaned before lunch, so by evening they're only average and have quite a lot of sand.

Our campervan broke down unexpectedly and left us stranded and stressed, so we needed somewhere at short notice. The staff at Coalmine Beach Holiday Park, Walpole were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and we managed to book a Luxury Queen Tent, with Ensuite. It gave us good privacy from the neighbours and lovely bush and bay views. We stayed four nights and really enjoyed it. The facilities were modern and spotless, the best we've seen at a beachside park, and Vodafone reception at our site was strong, which helped while we changed our travel plans. The grounds and service turned a difficult situation into a positive stay. A lovely spot in WA, and we'll be back. Thankyou, Jason and Natalie.
