The Clan Terrigal

We’d booked five nights, but there was no housekeeping for four days until I complained. The owner argued about it and wouldn’t let us find somewhere else because it was a prepaid, non-refundable booking, so we were stuck. There was no kitchenette, and they expected us to wash cups and dishes in the toilet sink. I’ve never seen something so unhygienic at a hotel that’s supposed to be 4 star rated. They’d oversold the extra beds, so we had to make a bed on the floor for our toddler. The owner had an issue with us over that, even though we were just trying to manage the lack of facilities. The parking spaces were extremely tight and hard to navigate. The owner also asked my partner to move his car from a spot he was using so she could park there. It was obvious customer care and satisfaction weren’t valued. Terrible experience, and I won’t return.

The balcony view was amazing, and the room was clean and spacious. I stayed overnight and couldn’t have been happier. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and very helpful, and the customer service was excellent. I also stayed for breakfast, which was really good, with great service again. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at The Clan. The accommodation was just right for us, and the location was excellent. Nicky at the office pointed us to some dinner venues and her local advice was spot on. We arrived without a booking on Sunday afternoon, looking for four nights, just an hour before the office closed. The girls in the office couldn’t have been more helpful in arranging a room. Breakfast at their kitchen was excellent, the best on the Central Coast three years in a row. All round, great. Thanks, Clan.
