Surfside Holiday Park

People come to this caravan park because the campsite sits just over the sand dune from the beach. But the beach was disgusting this year, and the lack of beach dressing would drown any camper trying to go in for a paddle. Usually campers can swim there. The council puts up the site cost every year, but what improvements are we paying for? There’s been no improvement to amenities, very poor salary increases for staff, and the beach clean-up is poor. Do they care about the people paying so much each year for a very mediocre park that could be so much better? Next year campers can pay the massive increase or leave this beloved place and not come back. The beach was disgusting this year!

We spotted wild animals around the park, including a little bunny that was a fun surprise for Ted! Our site was peaceful and close to everything we needed. The park was nice and clean, with well-kept amenities, though we couldn’t really hear the ocean from where we stayed.

The place was noisy, and I felt less safe here than at any other campsite, even after crossing the Nullabour. Drunk men were hanging around outside the ladies toilets at night, and nobody enforced the dog leash rules. The campsite is beside an active train line, the WiFi didn’t work at all, and school holiday pricing made it completely overpriced. Can’t wait to leave.

They handled my change in circumstances without hesitation, and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable while staying professional. I’ll definitely return, and highly recommend them.
