The room’s bathroom has decor from 50 years ago, which I loved. I was generally satisfied since I like low-maintenance motel rooms. The TV has limited apps, but the WiFi is reliable. I appreciated having forks, knives and spoons, which some similar motels don’t provide. The receptionist was remote, and the contact felt weird, through a TV and webcam, as if she were juggling multiple motel clients. Laundry costs $4 in coins for washing, and detergent isn’t provided. Shops of every kind are a five-minute drive away. The Hopkins River and the cemetery are nearby for a walk, though it’s best to have a car or be patient if you want to walk.

I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I’m warning you before booking. My room smelled of cigarettes and mold. Everything was old and half working, though the TV was okay and nothing fancy. There was a random coloured wall, battered cupboards, a disgusting shower, strange stains, and just one outlet above the head of the bed. A hole in the paper-thin wall let the elements straight into our room. The entrance was small and a tight fit for a Ute, electrical wires were dangling around, and we could still hear A1 traffic. NO REFUNDS??!!!

It’s a cheap, very tired motel, but it was just okay for what we needed, a shower and a clean-up. The keypad entry is great, so there’s no lost key to worry about. The beds are low, about 40cm to the top, which made getting in and out slightly awkward, especially when putting on motorbike boots. The sink tap drips constantly.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The price was fairly low, but the mattress had completely collapsed on one side, and there wasn’t a staff member at the desk, just service through a television screen.

Turn In Motel was a great find for the price. The room was clean and usable, with good in-room facilities. They sent the entry details before I arrived and checked in after my arrival time to make sure everything was okay. Really happy with the service, thanks.
