The pub meal was a good experience, but the room was old and tacky. The surfaces were sticky, the fridge worked but clearly hadn't been defrosted for months, and the freezer was completely iced up. I'm below average height and still had to duck to use the shower. Although there were a dozen or more rooms, all four guests that night were put in adjoining rooms, so noise was a problem when it shouldn't have been. The next night I stayed in St Arnaud and paid $25 less for a vastly better room.

We stay at the Goldseeker often and always find the host friendly when we arrive. The disability friendly room is hard to fault, with comfy beds, a quiet fridge, a quiet location, and excellent air-conditioning. We'll definitely be back.

Check-in was easy, available 24 hours. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed felt just right, and the shower was lovely with fresh, clean towels. One small annoyance in the morning: there was a toaster but no butter knife, so we used the tea and coffee spoons to butter our toast.

Ben greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel welcome. Nothing was a problem. The room was tidy and very clean, and there was space for our three small dogs. It was quiet and comfortable, and we'd stay again. Thank you, Ben.

My family was disappointed with Room12, which I won through Travel Actions. I tried to book the Family Room, but it had plumbing issues. In Room12, there was mold around the shower soap dish and basin, and the walls looked freshly painted, with the black stripes along the lower half peeling away. The old carpet was lifting in several places, and the white headboard was coming loose from its join. There was no cloth for washing the cups or dishwashing liquid. The bathroom wall was loose and visibly moved when the door was closed. The main entrance door had a Grap and banged in the wind, which left me a bit concerned about whether it was a safety issue. The Wedderburn Pub had a great meal menu and friendly service. The park was great, though most places were closed on Monday. The general store was open.
