The room seemed okay at first, but overnight the floor became covered in hundreds of crawling insects. Large black spiders came out to feed too. It felt like something from a horror movie. I checked out at 6am without having coffee or a shower, and cancelled my second night. The place was empty when I arrived and looked much less cared for than when I’d last been there. I was told later that the key was in the room. When I asked about paying, they said 9.30pm would be fine. I returned at midday to pay and asked for a reduction, but was refused. I won’t stay again and will tell my friends. Now I understand why it was empty when I got there. Terrible, I’d give it no stars or even negative stars if I could.

The room was far dustier than it should have been, and it looked like proper cleaning hadn’t happened for a long time. My child has asthma, and the dust clearly triggered a flare-up, making the stay stressful. We also found what appeared to be bed bugs in the bedding, so we didn’t feel safe or comfortable there. The room looked nothing like the online photos, which felt misleading. The motel’s condition was well below expectations. Management should deal with the cleaning and maintenance issues before taking in more guests.

Flies and ants were everywhere, and after four days I was covered in ant bites and welts. It didn’t seem like any pest control had been done. There’s no room service or daily housekeeping, and the pool wasn’t working. They advertise a washer and dryer, but you pay extra to use them. The place needs an upgrade: the beds are average at best, and the couches sag so much they feel like sitting on wood after about ten minutes. The freezer hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long, though the motelier said she had cleaned it. Spend a few dollars more and stay elsewhere.

The pool has no water in it at the moment, but it’s a good value stay close to town. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the showers are hot. For the price, you can’t go wrong. I’d definitely stay again and look forward to my next visit.

The online advertisement didn’t match the place. I’d already checked in and paid online, but it wasn’t comfortable, so I packed up and moved to another motel without staying even one night. Money wasted.
