Aaron Motel

Everything was easy, and we had a really good stay. The room was spotless and exactly as described. Staff were kind and helpful, and sorted out an extra night quickly when we asked. We’d definitely come back.

The room was very clean, with a TV, Netflix, cooking utensils, cutlery and plates, and the car park is undercover. The location suited what I needed: cinemas and a small shopping centre focused mainly on food were an easy walk, as was the hospital. You can walk down to Dawson Highway, with Gladstone Central only a short drive away. There’s also a fuel station on the highway and a pie shop.

The BBQ area was spotless, and later we had a dip in the outdoor spa, which was just right on a chilly night. It made our stopover feel like a little retreat. We were on our way to Mackay and paid $150 for one night at Aaron Motel. I expected a basic motel, but the room was modern and exceptionally clean, with everything we needed, including full cooking and heating facilities, a fridge, quality appliances, built-in charging docks, cutlery, crockery and coffee supplies. There was plenty of room to unpack, store clothes and relax. The staff were warm and welcoming too. I’m still surprised by the value for the price. A hidden gem in Gladstone, and I’d recommend it to anyone passing through or looking for an affordable, comfortable stay.

We stayed two nights and found it quiet, comfortable and economical. It’s an older place, but the bathroom has been nicely renovated, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. There are a few nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We’d stay again.
