Friday karaoke was a huge night. I'm pretty sure this place is a local secret, there must've been around 200 people having a great time.

We'd already paid for a room, but on the long weekend they were overbooked and seemed not to care when we tried to check in. We had to spend twice as much on a new hotel, and this place still has my money.

We had a tasty seafood dinner, and they had Guinness too. The atmosphere was friendly and service was quick. I stayed overnight before my operation at the hospital the next day, and it worked out really well.

I booked without seeing the room first, and it was fine. The bar was okay for a few beers, though there were no meals available that day, so I ordered a disappointing pizza. A female bartender who clearly knew the job was replaced by two young men, around 20-25, who did what was needed but seemed unenthusiastic. Some locals showed interest in my car in the car park, which left me feeling uneasy.
