Ski Rider Hotel

The team at Ski Rider were thoughtful and kind. After checkout, we realized our daughter had left her favourite toy on the bed, and they helped send it back to us. We’re very grateful. We stayed four nights as a family of four. The room was tidy, clean, and comfortable for relaxing after skiing, and the staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Getting to the slopes was simple too: we could put on our skis and board the shuttle right there, which made the trip back and forth much easier with the kids.

We’ve come back for two winters in a row and love that the family room gives all five of us a proper comfortable bed, including the third child. We don’t often find that. The kids also enjoy the old-school games room, especially the pool tables and arcade games. The meals are great after a long day on the snow. We’ll be back next winter.

The bathroom was a little small, but manageable. Otherwise, our room at Ski Rider was spacious, clean, and really comfortable, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic two-night stay, and the location is handy, just 10 minutes from Perisher Valley. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Snowy Mountains.

The ski hire team are some of the best people in Perisher, in my opinion. They’re always up for a chat while fitting your gear, and happy to help if a binding breaks or needs adjusting. On your last day, you can return the hire gear at the end of the day instead of at checkout. I’ve stayed at Ski Rider five times with my two boys, and it’s become our regular place for Perisher. We’re already planning to return this coming season. For my latest booking, the team gave me a great returning guest rate, which I really appreciated. It works well for us because it’s affordable, with buffet meals on site and budget-friendly ski hire. Having a hot breakfast ready means no need to find a cafe before heading up the mountain, and there’s a hot dinner waiting after a big day on the snow. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable, with what you need: a hot shower, a drying rack for gear, and a cosy bed. Great value and good vibes for families heading to the snow.
