Peter, who manages the place, was so kind and helpful with our activities. We’re really grateful. We had a wonderful family stay in a comfortable cottage with all the basic necessities, tucked into the bush within Beowa National Park. The SUPs and kayaks were in great condition and everyone enjoyed using them. It’s easy to get to the lovely lake, beautiful beaches and hiking trails. Green Cape lighthouse is a short drive away, and I’d highly recommend the lighthouse tour. Lisa was awesome. It’s such a magical place, and we look forward to coming back, especially during whale season!

Pete is a legend and went out of his way to help us. The place is peaceful, with a lovely pool, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There’s lots of wildlife about and it’s a great fishing spot. The road in is a bit hard going. Thanks very much for having us, Pete.
The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, with good amenities. It’s a great place for a young family like mine, and we liked it so much that my family came down for an impromptu break while my apprentice and I were installing solar at the resort. That was easily the most enjoyable job I’ve done. It’s a magic location right on the lake, surrounded by bush and close to pristine beaches. Pete and Paula have fairly recently taken over, and it’s great to see the time, effort and energy they’re putting into rejuvenating the resort. They were absolutely fantastic hosts. I’d recommend staying here to anyone who enjoys a laid-back holiday in a great natural environment.
Pete is a top host, and the cosy cabins are comfortable. The lake at sunset is so relaxing to watch, and I’ll be back. It’s a fantastic spot for nature lovers and bird photographers, with the Light to Light walk close by for doing sections of the trail and easy access to explore nearby Beowa National Park.
We return to Wonboyn Lake Resort each year because we always enjoy the peace and quiet. Our little family finds the cabins super clean and comfortable, and the manager is always around to help with anything or have a quick chat. Love your work, Pete! Thanks for making this our annual destination.
