We paid 98$ and were very happy with what we got for it. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were friendly. Although it is a hostel, the holiday rooms are separate from the workers' accommodation, so it didn't feel like staying in one. We went for the weekend with another couple and had a great time.

The garden area was lovely, and it was quiet while we were there. We had a double room with our own little outdoor kitchen. The woman who lives there was kind and helpful. It's a small hostel close to the beach and an easy walk to Woolworth. Farmworkers stay in the dorms and have a large kitchen of their own, so it wasn't very social. We visited in low season, though, and it could be different in the dry season.

We expected a modest but clean room where we could relax for two nights. Instead, there was no key when we arrived, so we couldn't feel safe, and the bathroom had a strong damp smell. The room clearly hadn't been properly cleaned: there was body hair on the floor and stuff under the bed. Someone else had also been booked into the same room. We couldn't stay, and the owner refused to refund us or help, then called us liars. I don't recommend this place at all.

Good size and clean, though basic. Worked perfectly for an overnight stay, with restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance and the beach only a short walk away.

I was there back in 1991, so this review is pretty late. It was an awesome place. A girl and I won the fun drinking games by doing a vertical 69 in the pool. The owner's son also took us on a great day trip into the bush, where we went white water rafting with our bodies down some rapids.
