The gardens are such a treat, with little tucked-away corners to explore, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was a bit disappointing that the weather was so wet. The place is a short drive from town, and if we're back in the area, we'd stay at Hilldide again.

Maria and Wayne checked in to see if we needed anything and were so caring and flexible. They lit the fire each night in the shared living area adjoining the rooms. We also had a beautiful river view from the balcony.

Breakfast was beautifully set out and a lovely start to the day before we headed on with our holiday. It was such a peaceful, gorgeous place, from the room and gardens to Wayne & Maria, who were wonderful hosts. Thanks so much, cheers, Patti & Russell Moore

After camping for quite a few days, we slept really well here. The bed was the comfiest, and even the towels smelled lovely and homely. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed and looked after us well. Breakfast was yummy, and we ate in the garden with guests from another room and had a nice chat. A lovely stay in Huon valley, highly recommended!

I just wish we could see more of the river. Still, it's a lovely spot, and the owners made us feel very welcome. The breakfast menu turned into a little test, but you can't fail it. I just told hubby not to copy my answers, lol.
