Breakfast was a real highlight, lots of hot options and fresh fruit. We also liked the coffee machine in the second-floor lounge. Our family found the triple room clean and comfortable, with a balcony, good air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchenette. The bus stop is five minutes away, and Sydney's attractions are about a 30-minute walk. The hotel was a real gem for us, and the staff were very friendly.

Richard made check-in easy, upgraded our room at no extra charge, and helped us book two cabs. We stayed three nights while vacationing in Sydney and would happily stay here again. The location is walkable to the Opera House through the Botanical Gardens, with wharf train connections nearby. From airport terminal 1, the bus and train are easy to use and much cheaper than a cab. There are a couple of nice restaurants close by, along with the famous "Harry's Café de Wheels.

The free breakfast was a welcome extra, and the gentleman at reception was lovely and really helpful. We had a clean, functional room and bathroom, and the balcony was a nice bonus. Great value for money, too. The location is brilliant, about a half-hour walk through the botanic gardens to the opera house. I would definitely stay again.

The check-out and cleaning staff were great, and the location is good. The rooms were clean and functional, but dated. It feels like a clear 3* hotel, so I'm not sure where the 3.5 came from. Breakfast is awful, so budget for eating out; there are loads of amazing places nearby. The person who checked me in was rude and pushed me into taking a room I didn't want so she could leave early.

The manager's behavior made this the worst stay I've had in over 20 years of traveling. Every time I spoke with him, he was rude, hostile, arrogant and completely unprofessional. His aggressive, disrespectful attitude made even a basic civil conversation impossible. I also felt harassed every morning. At 9:00 a.m. sharp, staff repeatedly knocked aggressively and shouted “housekeeping” until I had to wake up and answer, even though I had never requested service. It happened daily. Once, the manager himself woke me at 9:00 a.m. after knocking multiple times for no valid reason. Breakfast ends at 9:30 a.m. and isn't very good. Check-out is already unreasonably early, and staff bang on your door like crazy until you leave. The whole thing was incredibly stressful and uncomfortable. Hotels should make guests feel welcome and respected. This place does the opposite. Avoid it at all costs!
