The wildlife and views were amazing, and the accommodation itself was incredible. The Deck House team were friendly and have done an awesome job. The waves rolling onto the shore, the sun sinking into the ocean, then the moon coming up to say g'day. The Deck House in the hills of Wye River felt magical, and helped put the upheaval we'd been through into perspective. After serious medical issues, my wife and I decided to follow our doctors' advice and take a break. She found this place, but getting dates took several tries. The team explained bookings had to be made online and there was a bit of a waiting list. We finally booked for our anniversary, and the wait was absolutely worth it. Dave was a star. He told us about Wye River's backstory and shared a beer with us before his CFA pager went off and he left us to enjoy the view. This place has touched both our hearts. We'll most definitely come back. Thanks, team.

The beautiful views were the highlight, and the DeckHouse had all the amenities we needed. Everything felt perfect, with so much attention to detail. I'd highly recommend staying here. We'll definitely be back.

I've now stayed here three times, and each visit still fills me with awe. The Deck House feels like a sanctuary among the trees, with panoramic views over the Southern Ocean. Sunrises and sunsets are the real magic, as the colours shift across the water. There's wonderful wildlife too, from native birds and koalas to the unforgettable dolphins we spotted from the deck. I'm grateful this special place is here to experience. It stays with you long after you leave. A big thank you to the considerate crew for the lovely local goodies. That unexpected welcome made a wonderful stay even more special.
