The pool was a highlight, with a relaxing feel and good seating for unwinding after a long day. The bar staff there served delicious cocktails and refreshing drinks. The hotel is conveniently located near town and easy to get to. Our room was spacious, tidy, and well maintained, with everything neatly arranged. The bed was comfortable, and housekeeping kept things clean. The furniture looked dated, though, and could use a refresh to match the hotel’s otherwise modern, polished feel. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help, while check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. It was a pleasant, relaxing stay with good facilities and hospitality. A furniture update could make Crowne Plaza Alice Springs one of the best places to stay in the region.

The breakfast omelette was really tasty, but the pulled pork sandwich was basic and didn’t have much pork. The espresso included with breakfast was absolutely awful. I literally spat it back into the cup. I’m not sure about the value since this was booked as part of a 16 day trip. Natalie and the front desk crew went above and beyond. They helped us with a shower and our luggage after checkout, even while they were assisting a large group checking in from the US. They also gave us tips on local restaurants and getting around town safely. It would be great if the courtesy bus ran every hour. Still, if you’re willing and mobile, it’s not such a long walk into town. It’s actually lovely, with huge red gum trees along the dry creek bed. The pool was refreshing, and I even got into the spa after dark. The rooms were comfortable, though the bathroom is dated. Sheets were changed and rooms made up as needed.

The room stayed stiflingly hot, which made our long-weekend stay much less comfortable. The main AC vent didn’t cool it enough, and a fan wasn’t available when I asked. It seemed like everyone might have been overheating. My friends had the same cooling problem in their room. I live in Alice Springs, and a group of friends and I booked a ‘StayCation’ because the room rate was decent. We stayed in Block 3, and the room itself was nice. The hotel could improve its cooling system for the intense heat in ASP. Rooms don’t have individual split systems, and having them would help.

The pool is huge, with plenty of places to sit, and there’s a lot to do around the venue. The rooms were clean and well appointed. If buffet hotel breakfasts are your thing, you won’t be disappointed. Very good value for money and an enjoyable stay when visiting Alice. I’d encourage you to try it for yourself.
