The service was fantastic. Maria greeted us warmly at reception, and everyone in the dining room was professional, welcoming, and attentive. We also had a snack tray instead of dinner one night, and room service was friendly. The Lakeside Suite didn't match the website photos. They show two white chairs facing the lake, but our room had a small table, two plastic chairs, and only a partial view of a small waterhole. Check the pictures. I wanted to give Cape Lodge five stars, but the food and coffee fell short. Breakfast and dinner menus felt uninspiring and didn't feature enough local produce. Oysters from SA and tooth fish from “a glacier 3000 km away?” Why not WA oysters or something caught locally? The food was just fair, and there are much better options in the area. There was only instant coffee in sachets in the room, so we skipped it and had tea. Nowhere else had coffee before 0730 either. If there aren't pods in the room, a coffee station at reception or the dining room entrance would help. This IS Australia!

We had breakfast, dinner, afternoon high tea, and wine tasting, all included in our booking package. The restaurant food was fresh and fantastic, with excellent service. I'd recommend Cape Lodge to a friend and would come back. From the moment we arrived, the service was great. Rosa at the front desk gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our rooms. The grounds were in perfect condition, and the outdoor pool was warm, clean, and well kept without smelling of chlorine. Our rooms were bright, lovely, clean, and spacious. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at!

The grounds were beautiful, and the pool area was lovely and quiet. Breakfast and dinner were both beautiful, with complimentary afternoon tea and wine tasting as a welcome bonus. We loved Cape Lodge from the minute we arrived. Reception gave us a wonderfully warm welcome, and our room was spacious, immaculate, and full of thoughtful touches. Highly recommend.

The lodge stay was amazing, with very generous room and bathroom sizes. I especially loved the view and the lovely scents of the toiletries. The grounds were beautifully maintained, everything was clean, the service was great, and the food was amazing. I'll definitely return.

We celebrated our birthdays with a brilliant three-day staycation in room 15, overlooking the garden and lake. It was spacious and stylish, with complimentary gifts and wine. We loved sitting on the balcony morning and evening, listening to the birds and reading. Breakfast was simple but had everything we wanted, and I got hooked on their gorgeous chai compot bowl. The staff were amazing, mostly Italian and Spanish, it seemed, and always friendly and upbeat. Special thanks to Sylvia. We spent so much time doing activities at the lodge that we bought essentials and made our own charcuterie board to eat on the balcony at night. Cape Lodge offers these too. We did eat in the restaurant for my birthday, and the food was delicate and divine, especially the pate. They even put a candle in my dessert. Gracie! The grounds are immaculate, with a small walking trail and a pool. We like very firm pillows, and ours were extremely soft, but when I asked if they could be changed, it was done immediately. Well done. Thank you for the wonderful place and upbeat staff, they're the backbone of it. 🫶🫶🫶
