The location is lovely, and the hives look stunning. The BBQ was good, and having no TV was fine. I was excited about using the projector, but with no instructions and both of us on Android phones, getting it going was really frustrating. The bathroom door opens straight into the kitchen, presumably because of the pod design. There was also no kitchen hand wash or colander for rinsing vegetables. These are mostly little things that could be fixed for the price, aside from the bathroom layout. It’s nice for one night, but I wouldn’t plan on doing much beyond a quick BBQ.

Thoughtful design makes this place feel like a private, peaceful haven. You’d hardly know it’s near other properties and Caves Road. It’s quiet and beautiful, just right for unwinding. Highly recommend.

We loved our two nights in Pod 5 in September 2025. The pod was spotless, cosy and well equipped, and check-in was easy: we picked up the key from the safe using an access code. Coming from Singapore, it was a treat to slow down and spend time outdoors in such different surroundings. We explored Margaret River, farmers’ markets, Smiths Point, Canal Rocks, Busselton Jetty and the Margaret River Chocolate Company, along with plenty of cafes and restaurants. In the evenings, we cooked with fresh produce we’d bought during the day, including meat, vegetables, Barnyard wine and chocolate, then settled in for a film on the projector. We had a wonderful time at Barn Hives, with a lovely mix of relaxing, exploring and simple pleasures. We’ve come away with special memories and would highly recommend it.

Those three nights under a sky full of stars were the highlight for my wife and me. We saw an amazing display each evening, a rare and unforgettable part of the trip. The cabin at Barn Hives Yallingup is fully equipped, with a rustic feel that fits its natural setting. We also enjoyed using the gas BBQ to cook locally sourced food. The stay gave us a chance to reconnect with nature and enjoy the Margaret River landscape. A peaceful and comfortable place for couples or families looking for a getaway.

We’ve just had three nights in hive 3 and absolutely loved it. The scenery and accommodation are stunning, the location is spot on, and the owners are lovely. The wine was delicious too. Can’t wait to come back 🥂🥂
