NRMA Blue Dolphin Yamba Holiday Resort

The three-bedroom cabin was fantastic, with a short walk to the pool. The bed was really comfortable and had an ensuite, and there was a washing machine, dryer, and balcony with a nice cane couch. The pools suit all ages, and there’s a swim-up bar and cafe. Town is only a two-minute drive away. Staff were professional and friendly. One of the best caravan parks I’ve stayed at, and we’ll be back.

There’s so much to do around the resort that you don’t need to go anywhere else. The local shopping centre and a few shops are just metres away, too. It was a really relaxing experience for our family with young kids. They could happily spend all day in the pool while parents sat nearby with drinks from the pool bar.

The room was clean and good value, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is stunning, with loads for kids to do, so I’d happily recommend visiting this park. One concern was the pump track: it gets crowded with kids, and we saw several serious accidents. It would be good to limit how many kids use it at once and require helmets and closed shoes.

We booked a powered, pet-friendly site for two nights, but left the day we arrived. On Friday afternoon it seemed manageable, then around five o’clock everyone arrived and the close-set campsites made the place feel very crowded. The neighbouring camper was smoking heavily, one cigarette after another. Reception told me people were allowed to smoke at their campsites. It’s sad to see a family-oriented holiday park allow that. The amenities were old and dirty and need upgrading. I wasn’t going to sleep in a tent with my kids breathing in heavy cigarette smoke when we were trying to relax on holiday.
