We booked a Queen ensuite room at Yamba Central. There are also room-only options with shared facilities. Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable for a one-night stop on a road trip. We paid $136 through Expedia, which was cheaper than booking direct. Keep in mind that if you stay more than one night, the rooms aren't serviced.

The staff were so friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed, and the food was absolutely glorious. I planned to stay just one night while enjoying the lovely town of Yamba, but felt so looked after and relaxed that I added a whole extra night. I'll have to come back soon.

We had dinner and breakfast at the brewery downstairs, and both were excellent. Even though there were plenty of people there, our room was dark and quiet enough for our two little ones, aged 2 and 6 months, who went to bed early. We had no trouble with noise. Check-in was easy, and parking was convenient. The room had everything we needed and a private bathroom. It may feel a little small for a longer visit, but was perfect for one night on our long drive home from holiday. The staff were friendly and accommodating, took time to chat and made sure we had what we needed. Great value, right in the middle of town.

The shower was incredible, with great pressure and heat, just right for washing off the journey and easing stiff muscles after a long drive. The bathroom was really clean, though shared and down the hall, as you'd expect in a renovated backpackers. We stayed Friday night and didn't find the pub downstairs too loud. It was a quick overnight stop on the way to Brisbane with my daughter. The basic room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the linen and towels fresh. Access was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a great location in town, and a good choice for a night or two.
