It can get busy, but there are wide ocean views and you can also find a quieter spot to sit. Over a couple of days I tried scallops, oysters, calamari, and steak, and everything was spot on. The bar staff were cheerful and friendly. Saturday night had live music, which brought in lots of young people. We played pool, and the locals’ attitudes were a mixed bag, though the women were lovely and happy. The background music was good and quiet enough to talk over. Pool was free on certain days. I’d go back.

We had fish and chips with salad and garlic prawns, plus cold drinks, all with a spectacular ocean view. Extensive renovations seemed to be underway, but everything was still spot on. We’ll definitely return if we’re in the area again. 👍

Our group of six went for Friday dinner during the school holidays. The restaurant was packed, but service was friendly, the views were amazing, and our meals were delicious with generous portions. It’s a simple setup: order food at the counter, go to the bar for drinks, and help yourself to water. It works well enough. They could probably make more from drinks with table service, maybe QR codes, even though I hate those. You can’t go wrong with food or drinks here, but it’s always busy.

Even midweek and in the off season, it was crowded, and the acoustics could be improved. The ocean views are sensational if that’s what you’re after, though I prefer a view with a few different elements. The food was tasty, with fresh fish in the fish and chips. The beer was fresh, cold, and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and efficient.

The meals were great value and full of flavour, and the bar staff were great too. Everyone was friendly. If you’re in Yamba for the weekend, I’d definitely recommend stopping by at lunchtime to enjoy that incredible view.
