We usually choose the two-bedroom unit because the full-size kitchen suits us, and the bed is very comfortable. There’s everything we need in the kitchen, the TV works well, and the bathroom has lots of space. Parking is easy, and the BBQ was lovely and clean for cooking our own food. The Carmel Yamba offers great value, and the website photos match what you find there. We also checked the minibar prices and found them more reasonable than most. It works well for a night or a few days away with family. I don’t have photos of this fabulous place, so you’ll have to take my word for it.

We worried at first that our suite, being closest to the road, might be noisy, but with the doors shut it was completely quiet. The private patio was a lovely touch, and the room was bigger and cleaner than we expected, with a very comfortable bed. The pool area was a great bonus, kept beautifully clean and with lots of places to sit. We’ll be back!

The bed and shower were both brilliant, and although it’s close to a main road, we couldn’t hear traffic once inside. The lounge sat much too low, though, which made getting in and out hard for us oldies. A bedroom fan would have helped too, since the air conditioning was a little loud. We enjoyed our stay, 8 out of 10.

I swam in the pool by its little rock waterfall and watched a lovely sunset with all the birds. The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with retro touches and cabana-style rooms that felt like a resort. It was our first stop on a road trip and may have spoiled the rest of the trip for us. Thank you.

The staff were friendly and professional, and shared helpful tips on what to do and where to eat around town. The room was fresh, very clean, and had everything we needed, with air conditioning that worked well. It felt like more than a motel. We enjoyed the pool and BBQ, and could play pickleball or basketball. There were plenty of bikes to borrow for getting around, and a great walking and cycling track to the lighthouse and the breakwall. Our stay made our Yamba trip a lot more enjoyable.
