The restaurant wasn’t the best, though it had the feel of a local watering hole, and the live music was cool. The room was okay, but you don’t come here for the room quality. What I really enjoyed was the natural backdrop, especially having a glass of wine in the evening with kangaroos nearby.

After walking around the park, this is a really nice place to sit and regroup. We enjoyed the deck, where a huge tree provided shade and a light breeze came off the lake. There’s also a large lawn with umbrellas and plenty of tables. The food we ordered was good, from a fairly standard menu, and the parking area is huge. You do have to pay to enter Yanchep National Park, but the place was still busy. There’s seating both inside and outside on either side of the building, with two entrances. The interior had a well-presented English Victorian look, and there’s a tiny reception window that’s easy to miss. There are small bar areas inside and outside, though the conservatory bar wasn’t staffed. Food orders go through a servery, and there’s a carvery for roast meals. The QR ordering on the tables was switched off, so you have to go up to order. Check your table number first, since you’ll need it at the servery. There was live music outside and a good playlist inside. The indoor toilets were clean. I didn’t check the outside ones.

We had an outdoor table looking toward the Anzac memorial, with a lovely view of kangaroos grazing. The service was fast and great, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced, well worth it. We were there to celebrate a special day, and I’ll definitely go back.

We spent the night at the inn and had a lovely breakfast the next morning, then went for a walk by the lake. The whole weekend was wonderful, with excellent service and a fabulous venue. Our son’s wedding had been held at the Yanchep Caves the night before, and Amy at the Yanchep Inn organised everything. It was a marvelous venue, the wedding ran wonderfully, and we were treated to a feast.

A couple of sleepy kangaroos were resting under a tree, and there was lots of other wildlife around too. The National Park location is great. Lunch was delicious, the wait was minimal, and the service was friendly. I’d recommend Yanchep Inn for a decent lunch if you’re visiting the area.
