We had a really memorable day here. The self guided caves were extraordinary and fun to explore, and our guide in the guided caves knew so much. The small group made it easy to ask plenty of questions. There are lovely picnic areas in the beautiful National Park, so bring food and give yourself a full day. We ran out of time for the Thermal Pool, which gives us a reason to come back.

The South Glory cave is well lit, though some of the signs are dated and hard to read. It brings you back to the carpark, but I wish the visitor centre had explained that, and that North Glory and the other caves are guided tours only. The caves themselves are lovely. The entry road is gravel.

The drive in is quite a way, but the area is beautiful and well worth visiting. We explored one cave. It was short, yet one of the most active caves I’ve seen, with formations covering almost the entire space.

The caves are amazing ❤️. JOSH made the tour engaging and interesting, and it was great having someone so enthusiastic and knowledgeable show us around. Thank you, Josh!

It’s much easier to get to the caves than Jenolan, and you can stay at the caves house now. I just wish National parks would reopen the old camping area. Yarrangobilly would get a lot more midweek customers, especially since it’s closest to Kiandra ski field.
