The location and price get a thumbs up from me. It’s close to the shopping centre, has a nice water view, and we’d stay again for what it costs. The bed was comfortable, and there’s a smart TV for Netflix. The rooms were a bit stuffy smelling and could use new carpet. There’s nowhere to sit and eat, so they should replace the single beds with a table and two chairs. The website really needs updating: there’s no restaurant, and the outside doesn’t look like the pictures.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything you could want. The host was genial and the Wi-Fi easy to use. We didn’t try the restaurant, but someone suggested the club next door, where we were haughtily refused service. From the headland it’s an easy walk to watch volunteers show the penguins hopping up the beach at dusk. I liked this place.

We’ve stayed here a few times, and it’s a pity the downturn has affected the business. The lovely family who own and run the motel provide nice breakfasts, and the view is great. Seeing it on the market makes me think there may be no resources left to enliven the place, which it needs soon.

The owners are super lovely and always willing to help. The place is extremely helpful, clean and tidy, with clean towels, and it’s dog friendly. My dog loved playing and sunning himself in the garden. Really love this hotel and can’t recommend it enough.

The on-site restaurant serves breakfast only. The room was neat and tidy with basic amenities, and the ocean view across the car park was great. Staff were polite, knew their stuff, and gave good recommendations for food and directions.
