Palazzio Apartments & Studios

My boyfriend and I were students and didn’t have a big budget, so we picked this place. It went beyond what we expected. The rooms were clean and nice, with a good kitchen area, clean bathroom and even a small backyard. It’s very quiet, apart from the fountain. The supermarket is a 10-minute walk, the beach is 15 minutes away and the big shopping area is about 25 minutes away. If you’ll be out most of the time and mainly need somewhere to cook, sleep and shower, I’d recommend it. The only downside is there’s no reception.

These are low budget apartments with one queen bed for two, a bedroom, private bathroom with shower, small living room and half kitchen. There’s a fridge, sink and two-burner electric stove, but it isn’t a real kitchen. No pool, reception or staff on site. Public transit isn’t nearby, so get a rental car if you can. The minimarket is half a mile away. It suits couples or family members, and independent visitors such as divers, kite surfers and beach volleyball players who don’t need hotel staff around the clock.

My son and I were supposed to arrive on a Wednesday, but we couldn’t get to Aruba until Friday and had to change our plans. After I told the apartment managers about our later arrival, I received a confirmation email. But when we got there, there was nobody to talk to and no room key. Calls and emails went unanswered, and my minor son and I had to scramble to find somewhere to stay. When they finally replied to my emails, I asked for a refund since no room was available for us. They said they wouldn’t give one. Since then, we haven’t received any more calls or emails from the property management. I guess I should’ve read the reviews. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I really enjoyed my stay at Palazzio Apartments. It was comfortable, a great price, and very close to both the beach and the supermarket. I’m definitely looking forward to staying here again on my next trips. Thank you!
