The location and on-site food were the best parts of my stay. Eduardo's, Scotts Brats, and Kouzina were all just minutes away and the food was spectacular. I also liked the balcony, and I believe every room has an ocean view. One gentleman was very kind when helping us get a taxi to the airport on our last day. The rest of the staff were not especially friendly, and a few seemed a bit clueless. The shade situation was infuriating. At the beach, you had to be up by 5 am to get a palapa. I rented two chairs and an umbrella from a company and set them up myself each day. Security asked if I was staying at Playa Linda, though that didn't matter anyway since the beach is public. The pool was somehow worse: about 75% of the shaded chairs sat empty all day with only towels and a bag on them, and staff did nothing about it. There were also loose railings and bandaids and other trash floating in the pool. The rooms are downright dilapidated, dark, dreary, and in places falling apart. The walls look like they've been painted and caulked over and over. There are no overhead lights, some lamps don't work, the fixtures are rusty, and the bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were the smallest I've ever seen, not even standard size. Cleanliness was not the worst, but still not acceptable. We found hair in the shower and toothpaste splattered around the bathroom when we checked in. Housekeeping left us fewer towels each day, until we had just one towel and a washcloth on the last day, despite the room supposedly sleeping four. There is a reason this resort costs $500 while the others are over $1000. I'd come back to Aruba when I was ready to spend $1000 a night at the Hyatt next door.

The pool is great, and there are several places to eat: breakfast, dinner, and a kid-friendly spot where you can leave your child as long as you like. The dinner places are exceedingly good. The workers and staff are some of the nicest, most positive people, too. I've been coming here for 9 years and haven't had a disappointing year. I can't fit everything the place offers in one review, but I definitely recommend it.

We'd reserved a table at the Avenue Bar for their delicious Bloody Marys, but they refused us at the door because my friend is legally blind and relies on a guide dog. We explained that the dog was an official, trained guide dog, and they still wouldn't let us in. It's unacceptable that people are still treated this way in 2026. Under international law, people with disabilities are entitled to equal treatment and inclusion. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which most countries including Aruba have ratified, requires discrimination based on disability to be prohibited and people with disabilities to be able to participate fully in society on an equal basis with others.

Great location, but the room was dirty. We arrived to sand on the bed, a toenail clipping on the floor, and chipped and broken cabinets. One day the whole resort had no running water, so we couldn't flush or shower. After coming to Aruba for 25+ years and trying somewhere new this time, it's back to our tried-and-true beach year. Yuck!!

You’re right on the beach, which is a great location, but the rooms could use updating. Grounds had some garbage lying around, and the ice barrel was empty several times. Housekeeping didn't always replace our bath towels or bath mat, so we had to ask a few times. No one seemed to check that only resort guests were using the beach lounges and chairs. The front desk staff could also be unfriendly or unhelpful at times.
