The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were kind and helpful. I also found the room spacious, with a comfortable mattress. I had a really good experience here.

The best part for us was getting free access to Ephesus beach bar, run by MandarinnArt hotel. Astara doesn't have many good beaches, and this one was definitely a good option, with a restaurant, DJ, and live music in the evening. We had breakfast, then usually walked about 20 minutes to Ephesus. A car would make it easier, but there is no Bolt or Uber there. The hotel also has a small pool for a quick cool-off, free parking, and simple grocery shops nearby for water, beach things, and snacks. We stayed as a family with a child in a standard room. It was very spacious, and they provided an extra bed. The room was clean, and the HVAC, WiFi, hot water, and TV worked, though we had trouble watching regular TV channels. Breakfast was good quality but boring, with the basics like eggs, bread, butter, jams, and spreads, but no pastries. You could order hot egg dishes such as scrambled eggs or shakshuka. There were also a tiny gym, a baby room, an ice hockey table, a snooker table, a cinema room, and a sauna. These facilities seemed unused during our stay, though I did a short weights session and my kid played ice hockey. The lat unit in the gym was broken. The sauna had to be ordered an hour ahead because it was switched off, and I never got around to trying it. It's a newly built, well-designed modern hotel where we had a comfortable stay and enjoyed Astara.

The outdoor pool was a nice place to unwind, and the staff were kind and professional, which made the stay feel personal. I loved the hotel's look too: modern design mixed with local charm, giving it a chic, welcoming feel. My recent stay at Mandarinn Art Hotel was a real pleasure.
