We had a spacious, clean room and very good internet, and the location was great. The staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful, and gave us good advice whenever we asked. They arranged an airport pickup taxi for just 15 Manat. There’s no lift to the guest house, so you have to walk upstairs. The entrance is shared with Bristol hotel.

The manager, ruslan, showed me everything in the room except the locker. They had the room cleaned without asking me, and I believe the cleaner took 200 USD and 100 AED from my backpack, which I’d hidden in the cabinet. I hate leaving a bad comment, but ruslan wasn’t supportive when I wanted to question the cleaner. I feel he let the Azeri people down badly.

The photos weren’t accurate. After I booked, they sent me to a different apartment that was dark and dirty. The elevator was very old and out of order, so I had to climb the stairs to the third floor every day.
