The bed was comfortable and the hotel is in the middle of the old city, but that's about the only good I can say. I stayed three nights, and despite asking several times, nobody fixed the wobbly toilet seat. The bathroom taps were all covered in scale. My room wasn't made up once and the towels weren't changed during those three nights. It was near reception, where the receptionist and what were probably his friends were loud even at 1 am, so the nights weren't quiet.
The only real plus is that it's close to many tourist spots. The photos don't match the actual room, and the place doesn't deserve even one star. The washroom stank, there was no hot water, and in the early morning there was no bathroom water until 9 am. The air conditioner didn't cool, it just made noise. Neighbours were noisy in the middle of the night. There's no lift, cleanliness was poor, and breakfast was the same every day: bread, butter, jam, and tea or coffee. Instead of a blanket, we got a few meters of the kind of cloth used to stitch shirts. Taxis charge an extra 2 manat to come this way and still won't take you right to the hotel. If walking from the metro, don't follow Google maps because it doesn't show the shortest route. Bring cash in manat or dollars since they don't accept cards. There's only one nearby exchange, and its rate is very bad.
A tiny, cute hotel in a perfect spot for exploring Old Baku and nearby areas. The front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave me extra towels because in this heat I needed to shower three times as often. Definitely recommend it.
Right in the center of the old city, and the owner was very supportive. The hotel is economical, though the rooms are small. Getting a taxi to or from here is difficult, so you have to go outside the old area. Don't bring a stroller, it's very hard to carry it around.
They gave our booked room to someone who paid a higher price. The staff were rude and didn't help us find another room. This was my worst hotel experience. I think this hotel is a cheater, don't book it.
