The night staff were rude and didn't make much effort to help. When we politely asked for just one extra hour at checkout, they refused in a very unfriendly way. The next morning, Sahar handled things professionally and kindly. She even helped extend checkout for both rooms after I'd only requested it for one, without any hassle. Her warm, helpful attitude made our stay much more comfortable and happy. The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect, with everything nearby and within walking distance. Overall, it was still a very good stay, thanks mainly to the morning staff and especially Sahar.

The Spa and Hammam were a real highlight, beautifully designed and authentic, and a great place to unwind. Service throughout felt warm and personal, and the staff made me feel welcome. InterContinental Baku is in the heart of Baku, just steps from Nizami Street and the Boulevard. A luxurious stay, highly recommended.

The room was spacious, clean, and luxurious, and the hotel is well placed for walking to most of Baku's main activities and areas. Every person I dealt with did a 10/10 job and was kind, welcoming, and helpful, from the doorman and desk staff to the driver and lounge host. A masterclass in how a hotel should operate.

The room was nice and met my expectations, but the reception experience was disappointing for a five-star hotel. This is about particular reception staff, not the whole team. Some of their replies came across as sarcastic and unprofessional. Even getting paper bags brought to the room, a very basic request, was surprisingly difficult. I started wondering if paper bags had somehow become a premium concierge service. Then again, we can all choose sarcasm, but some of us choose respect.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location, and I highly recommend it. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and the service was wonderful. I did have one small problem: my room service arrived 45 minutes late, and the food wasn't good 😶. I told them, but nobody followed up. Everything else was excellent. Wishing them all the best.
