Rotterdam Hotel Baku

I initially didn't plan to reply to the owner's response, but its aggressive tone only reinforced my concerns. It's surprising that he remembers me from almost a year ago when we never met in person. The doors were locked, and he told me it would take hours for anyone to come open them. Rather than answer defensively and unprofessionally, he should think about the experiences potential customers are having. Recognizing mistakes and learning from them is a first step to improving service, and there's no shame in that. I'm not even sure this is a hotel or somebody else's home. It's actually an apartment, with no privacy or security. The manager was the worst I've encountered. The place is on the third floor of a building with no lift, so I had to carry my 30 kg suitcase all the way up. Once there, I found the door shut. I knocked again and again because the bell didn't work, but no one answered. When I called, the so-called manager said he was far away and told me to cancel if I didn't want to wait. Think twice, or even three times, before booking.

It's an average place to stay, with a pretty good location. The stairs are both scary and kind of hilarious.

The manager was very kind. The location is also really good if you want to explore the old city. Recommended.

The location was quite calm, and I loved staying here. The host is a real gentleman with fantastic service. Highly recommend.
