Shah Palace Luxury Museum Hotel

The room was a decent size, and the bathroom was spacious. The buffet breakfast was good too. The location is handy for both the old and new towns. The air conditioning couldn't be adjusted from its set temperature, so the room was too hot a lot of the time. More accessible plug sockets would help, and the fridge was noisy.

The staff deserve 5 stars, and the breakfast was yum. The rooms were comfortable, though the standard room felt a little small. The location is prime, so I'd recommend the hotel. For more space or a balcony view, choose a deluxe room or check with the hotel manager, since not every room has those features. This hotel gets a lot of demand, so book early before rooms fill up.

This is a great base for tourists, with the old city right outside the door. The building is said to be the oldest in the area, giving it an authentic feel, and the atrium layout adds to the charm. The rooms are beautiful, and the complimentary Turkish bath is a nice extra. Breakfast was the weak point. It starts at 7am, but no waiter showed up until 8.30, when one put on background music. Staff didn't start clearing the mess from previously occupied tables until after 9. The food was adequate, but nothing special.

The reception team were humble and polite, always ready to help with a smile, and Arzu deserves special thanks for being warm, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality made us feel welcome and comfortable. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Old City and surrounded by history, lovely streets, and beautiful views. It’s easy to explore on foot. Shah Palace Hotel has a charming historic feel and architecture that reflects Baku, and waking up to those views was a special experience. Highly recommended for a visit to Baku.
