Twelve Inn Hotel

Being so close to Nizami Street, with parks nearby and currency exchange just around the corner, made this a convenient place for tourists. They got me checked in early and very quickly, which I really appreciated. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the surroundings were peaceful. The hotel serves good food, and the staff are friendly. Each room has bottled water, tea and coffee, and basic toiletries including shampoo and a toothbrush. A comfortable stay in a handy location.

We had a good stay until the last morning, when the day staff abruptly woke us and said we had to check out. We'd renewed for an extra night with the night staff, but apparently the renewal hadn't been passed along. That was their communication error. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, they told us to leave within an hour or move to another room. The way they handled it, and the lack of professionalism, spoiled an otherwise good experience. We won't return.

There was no hot water, even in November, and they wouldn't arrange any for us. The place was extremely noisy too. I'm very disappointed.

The rooms at the second hotel they moved us to were dirty, right beside reception, so every conversation carried into the room. The receptionist played videos loudly all night, and we could hear it all. We'd booked through Booking.com, but on arrival were told the hotel was “full” and directed to a nearby “second hotel.” They also insisted we cancel the Booking.com reservation, which was a huge red flag. I believe this was a scam to avoid paying the platform's commission, and we ended up somewhere much worse than the place we booked. If they ask you to switch properties or cancel through Booking.com, don't accept.
