I was glad my stay here was short. It was part of a three-country tour I booked through a travel agency back home. On arrival, I was told the restaurant was “always open,” but when I asked to have dinner in my room at 5:00 pm, there was a problem: the chef wasn’t in the kitchen, and none of the other kitchen staff could cook. Breakfast had similar issues on both mornings. There was no coffee set out. I had to ask for it, and it was freeze-dried coffee kept behind the bar as if it were the King’s Treasure. I brought my own coffee on the second day, but still had to ask for a spoon. The dining room tables weren’t ready at either breakfast, even though service starts at 8:00 AM. At 9:00 AM on the first morning, they still weren’t prepared, and the same was true at 8:15 AM on the second. The whole ground floor looked like a big party had just happened, with balloons and cake frosting on the floor. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned before breakfast for the registered guests. The restaurant staff member was a young man who was always smiling, but didn’t seem to take his duties seriously.

For a small hotel, the quality was better than I expected. The rooms were clean, and the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. I spent four days there and came away with good memories.

The breakfast was lovely, and the restaurant served good food too. I also really liked the executive room. Great hospitality, so it felt like a complete package.
