El Faro Hotel Nabran

The pools were OK, but loud music kept playing, and the bathrooms by the pools and changing rooms were filthy and unsanitary. Some rides weren’t working, which defeats the point of having them. Pool access also closes at 18:00 for cleaning, making it even harder to enjoy the area. Who closes a pool at 18:00? Both hotel buildings were disgusting and unsanitary. The “premium” building we stayed in was below average. Our room was missing basics like towels and a kettle, and the bathroom seats were unclean. The AC would randomly stop working at night, so sleeping was difficult. The other building looked unbelievably old and outdated, and its doors were hard to open and close. The staff seemed clueless and weren’t very helpful. Wi-Fi was a coin toss, so I used mobile data most of the time. The food was average at best, and it was hard to eat after seeing dirt throughout the resort. We kept finding little hairs in food and drinks. Don’t make the mistake of choosing this resort for a vacation. It wasted my family’s time and mine. I didn’t enjoy it at all, and the price is ridiculous for the service.

We left after just an hour and asked reception to refund at least part of the prepaid two-day cost. They refused, and the receptionists were completely clueless and unhelpful. We’d booked a room in the new “deluxe” building, but the hotel was badly managed and didn’t live up to its five-star positioning. The room had poor finishing, was dirty and wet, smelled awful, and had signs of flooding on the floors. There were insects inside, plus paper cups and construction fasteners. Construction was still underway around the grounds, so expect noise and dust during your rest. The pool area had noisy music, and half the waterslides weren’t working. There’s no first-line access or sea beach, just dirty sand. Breakfast is only from 9 to 10:30, which doesn’t feel very flexible. We tried lunch, and the food was very average. Wi-Fi didn’t work anywhere we tried, including the rooms, reception, and restaurant. The atmosphere here is dead. Avoid this resort, don’t repeat my mistake!

The pools are big, and the food is so delicious. It was great, I’d recommend coming here.
