Merida Hotel Baku

I liked the room and the location, with several places to eat nearby and a metro station relatively close. The front desk staff were nice, though a little distant. Breakfast was the hotel's worst part: very few items, and the quality was poor.

The breakfast had plenty of food and a nice range each day, though the hard-boiled eggs were overcooked and spoiled on three of the four mornings. The cleaners did an excellent job, with fresh towels waiting whenever we returned in the evening. The rooms were clean, the shower had excellent water pressure, and the hotel was well maintained. Staff at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. It was an absolute bargain for the price, just a short taxi ride from central Baku. We'd stay again, 10/10.

The rooms were clean and neat, but breakfast was the worst service. There were only three main options: two kinds of scrambled eggs, while the other choices were bread items like French toast or bread rolls. Breakfast ran from 8 to 11, but when food ran out, they didn't refill it. The kitchen staff just said it was finished. There was no milk for the cornflakes either. When we asked, they said the hotel had no milk in stock. They weren't preparing enough food for the guests.

We stayed two nights and had a great time. The hotel is good, though it's far from Nizami Street and other places.
