Assim was attentive, fun to chat with, and full of recommendations. He was ready to help with anything. I didn't find a real alternative in Sheki, and the hostel has a big kitchen, sofas, and places to relax. There are two or three dorms and two or three private rooms, but they all share one bathroom. That's just not enough: it has a shower, toilet, and sink, and there's always a wait to get in.

The old town is about a 15-minute walk away. The hostel and rooms were clean, and Asim and his wife were both welcoming and very helpful, which made it easy to settle in. Asim speaks English and Turkish.

I spent two nights here and felt comfortable the whole time. The beds were warm and comfy, there's a nice open kitchen with a gas cooker, and it's close to the city centre. Great hostel and owner. Highly recommend it for a trip to Sheki!

The staff were great, and the location was perfect. I liked the kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. The shower wasn't hot, though, and the common area is a bit limited and basic. Still, it's a good place to stay in Shak'.
